VILLA BAULA
At Hotel Villa Baula, they take care to preserve the natural beauty of the setting, the very end of the peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and the Tamarindo Estuary on the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica. Directly in front of the hotel is a magnificent 4 kilometres beach.
Playa Grande is the most important nesting site in the Pacific for the giant leatherback turtle, known in Costa Rica as the Tortuga Baula. The National Marine Park, Las Baulas de Guanacaste was created in order to protect these nesting grounds. Behind the hotel flows the Tamarindo estuary which is fed by the ocean and bordered by mangroves.
The Tamarindo Estuary is protected by an international treaty as a wetland of global importance.
Villa Baula has hotel rooms and private bungalows spread over two acres of forested beachfront property. The rustic design and choice of building materials (wood and bamboo) are in harmony with the environment.
Hotel Villa Baula is a beach front hotel with guestrooms and private bungalows with kitchens spread across two forested acres. There are single, double, triple and quadruple rooms with ocean views, ceiling fans and private baths with hot water. The beach is so close that it is actually part of the garden. Step right from your room onto the sand, and enjoy the abundance of wildlife in the forested grounds.
