TOUR AND DRIVE – COSTA RICA 4X4

Code: NEP-24 (14 Days / 13 Nights)

Drive around Costa Rica in a 4x4 vehicle at your own pace, and discover the natural wonders of this tropical paradise.   In Costa Rica you will still find gravel roads that will take you through rural areas, the rain forest and other amazing adventures. For many visitors this is certainly a rewarding experience, driving on dirt roads, pulling off the road because you just spotted a troop of howler monkeys or a sloth up in a tree, these are likely situations as you drive in Costa Rican roads

Day 1 - Transfer In: Greeting at the Juan Santamaría International Airport and transfer to your selected hotel.

Day 2 - Tortuguero Tour: Tortuguero is one of the most beautiful and scenic regions in Costa Rica, it is the most important nesting site in the western half of the Caribbean for the green turtle. It is a navigable network of canals, a tropical sanctuary where more than 300 species of birds have been identified, monkeys, crocodiles, caimans, and toucans among others. Have a taste of our delicious Costa Rican breakfast in route.  Board a comfortable boat upon arrival to the port, and let this extraordinarily exotic paradise enchant you, as you travel along the Tortuguero Canals. Enjoy a delicious lunch at your Lodge.  Then visit the museum, the beach area and the small and picturesque town of Tortuguero. A delightful dinner will be served upon arrival to the lodge.   Optional night tour to search for turtle nesting sites (from July till October). Lodging in Tortuguero.

Day 6 - Visit the Tabacón Hot Springs (Entrance from 12:00 m to 10:00 pm). Hot springs are considered a natural expression of Earth’s inherent energy. Geologically, Tabacón Resort’s hot springs are 97% rain-based and 3% magma-based. Rainwater enters the earth through fissures on the surface and is then heated by magma found in the earth’s core. Once heated, the waters rise to the surface, taking with them minerals found in the earth’s rocky stratus. Thus, the resort’s waters are loaded with minerals. Hot springs provide many benefits stemming from various chemical, physical and biological effects. Lodging in Arenal.
